  Very unassuming little personable restaurant. So much so that one lady said she had lived in Ely all her life without knowing it as there. It felt very personal as there were only about 10 tables and a small bar area (for diners pre seating). The service was attentive and friendly. All the food was locally sourced and cooked to a good level. The menu wasn't too adventurous but full of hearty English dishes which were enjoyed by all the diners. One thing I haven't seen in a restaurant in a long time is being offered seconds with my main meal
  - which was a lovely gesture. And the whole meal with 3 and 2 courses and drinks was a very reasonable £60. Would recommend if you like traditional English food and very personal service.

  Small, cozy, romantic & food so so fresh! Walk into an old house & enjoy an art gallery as well as a fine restaurant.
  
  One of the rooms has been converted into a bar and to get to the main dining room you have to walk through the kitchen!
  
  The food can best be described as homely with very fresh ingredients. Highly recommended for small parties for an intimate dinner
  
  I love the hand written menu!
